We are a wholesale nursery grower of quality plant material based in Southern Ontario, Canada.

Our Roots
AVK Nursery is a proud, family-owned and operated business with a legacy that spans over 35 years under the AVK name, and more than 70 years in the horticultural industry overall. The business is now led by the third and fourth generations of the VanderKruk family.

Locations
We operate from two primary sites:

• Main Farm: 1724 Concession 4, Rockton, ON L0R 1X0
• Production Site: 759 Safari Rd., Millgrove, ON L8B 1S3

Our Founder
Art VanderKruk immigrated to Canada in the early 1950s at the age of 12. He began working on a vegetable farm in Flamborough, Ontario, where he discovered his passion for agriculture and growing.

He later joined his father and brothers in their nursery work, gaining hands-on experience and deepening his love for the industry.

The Beginning of AVK
In 1985, Art branched out to establish his own family business, naming it AVK, which stands for Adrian VanderKruk. Together with his children, he focused on supplying high-quality plant material across Ontario, Eastern Canada, Alberta and the Northern United States.

Continuing the Legacy
Today, AVK Nursery continues to grow and evolve with the support of the VanderKruk family, a dedicated team of growers, and trusted professional partners. We proudly serve garden centres, landscapers, and municipalities throughout Canada and into the United States.
